What if....
Our RPG Plot Twist Explained

From the first moment Naomi landed on the island, there was division among the survivors of Flight 815. Some thought she could be trusted, some didn't, and it only got worse after she was killed and the other freighter four came to the island. Miles, Faraday, Charlotte and Frank, all four so very different and their purposes seemed only their own, yet they brought hope to those who were desperate for rescue. In fact, they brought so much hope, that most of the survivors trusted them.

Most. That didn't include a small faction that followed Locke. John became the leader he always imagined himself to be and, in trusting someone even more questionable, Ben Linus, he led his group to what he thought would be safety in the Others' abandoned village. While Locke was rising in power, Ben was falling, or so it seemed, but in reality he was always in control.

Into this comes the most unexpected of all. Penelope Widmore. She had been searching exhaustively for Desmond for years, knowing he was lost in something her father both made his his life's goal to find but also held in the strictest of secrets. She blamed her father for losing Desmond from her life and committed herself to finding her one true love at any cost. Using all her resources, Penny arrived at the destination her father so coveted. An island not on any map. An island she simply knew her Des was lost upon.

Penny and a few of her crew arrived on the beach of the island finding more people than they expected. After investigating, Penny found her Desmond. The two were united in a touching moment too long in coming. Desmond now knew his course. The freighter was not his path. Penny was. Having been on the freighter, Desmond attempted to convince the survivors that the freighter was dangerous, that the people on it were not there to save them. A few of them listened, and those who did left with Penny and Desmond, finding themselves leaving the mysterious island to reunite with the real world once again.

Those who trusted the Freighter Four, went with them back to the freighter. While this was happening, a force of a dozen or so militants led by Keamy went after Ben. Ben's daughter, Rousseau and Carl were all killed as a result and Ben vowed his revenge. The Village in which the Others had lived was severely damaged in the process, and many of the survivors who had followed Locke were as well. Claire herself was injured and ended up leaving the group to follow a father she never really had the chance to know. Aaron was abandoned and Sawyer found him, taking him to Kate just in time.

So Kate with Aaron, Jack, Sun, Sayid and Hurley and others left with Penny. Sawyer had decided it was better to distance himself from Kate and therefore didn't go, but gave Kate a secret message before he left her, a promise he hoped Kate would remember to do for her. As this happened, Keamy and Ben had a showdown which Ben won at a great cost - the freighter exploded with all the newly rescued survivors on it. After this, Ben knew he had to hide the island again and went into an underground chamber where he turned something that had not been used in years. It was a mechanism which literally transported the island.

This was not the end. It was only a new beginning.

Ben had to leave the island forever because of what he had done, but he had bigger issues to occupy his attention- namely revenge on Charles Widmore for the murder of his daughter, Alex. Ben also began to orchestrate other events, events that would lead those who escaped the island with Penelope and Desmond to feel the greatest longing in their soul to return. One way or another.

Those who now lived in the real world, away from the island, found themselves at once celebrities and happy to be home. However, so much seemed to have changed in that short period of time. It was only three months since the plane crash but things just didn't feel right now that they were home. The rescued survivors found themselves at odds with not only their world but increasingly within themselves. There was a draw to be back on the island, and while most denied it, tried to hide it and stifle it with whatever means they could, they could not escape it either.

The conflict was even worse with those who stayed behind. The ones who remained to settle on the island, though few in number to those who sought escape, found themselves in the strangest predicament ever. The survivors who had gone to the freighter, the same freighter which also exploded, were suddenly appearing all over the island. Not just them either. People who had died, whom they had buried, were alive and believed it to be the 42nd day since the crash. Confused, bewildered and totally freaked out, the survivors who had never left the island were having to come to terms with this, something they could neither explain nor believe. (**See notes at bottom of page)

While the survivors who stayed are coping with this and do NOT know of the time leap explanation, the native Others understand everything perfectly. With their new leader, John Locke, and Richard Alpert firmly guiding him, they planned to take back control of their island. The survivors presence, while tolerated for now, would not be tolerated forever. There was much yet to happen and the Others had time on their side.

So who will you be? Will you be one of the ones who escaped to the real world with Penny, or maybe one who was killed but brought back to life and given another chance at life? Will you be an Other, or maybe one of the few who, like them, remember everything and stand bewildered in a world that makes even less sense than it did when you first crashed on the mysterious island?

You decide!

* Original Characters accepted in EVERY group!

** This is the main plot twist in which a time leap into the recent past (instigated by Ben's movement of the island) that allowed the people who never left the island to keep all their memories but permitted a new future to be written - one that didn't include those who left on Penny's ship and likely would never include a future where the two ships arrived and therefore everyone can avoid the subsequent deaths and destruction. The people who are expected to be there are assumed captured by the Others or otherwise Lost!

***Claire is still with Christian Shepherd and Aaron is gone due to his being rescued and with the rest of the survivors who left on on Penny's boat.

****Boone, Keamy and Micheal are non-playable characters. Keamy because he would not have existed on the island on Day 42, Boone because he died on day 41 ad Michael because he has been released by Christian/Jacob as having served his purpose.

The Incredibly Lost Plot
When the events happened that some of the survivors were rescued and others killed, an ever stranger twist of fate occurred when Benjamin Linus pulled the lever that moved the island in a brilliant flash of light. Now we have four groups of people, some who were rescued and live in the real world again. Survivors who never left the island and then there are people who died but are suddenly alive! Lastly, there are the natives, the Others who are under new leadership, the leadership of John Locke. Is he prepared to lead? Are the survivors prepared to figure out their mysteries together, or will irrational fear keep them divided? Can those in the real world ever find happiness or will they always be driven with a hidden desire to find the island they left behind?
